Getting closer to the move date
Update on our preparations for the move. We are getting closer to our move date, and the bees are almost all in the back yard. As you know we are moving to Starke, Fla, and I’ve been bringing all of my colonies from the different out yards to our back yard. I figured it would be easier to have all the colonies in one location, close them up the night before and load them onto the trailer then the next morning truck them up to Starke. That’s easier than trying to load each yard individually. I’m posting a video of the accumulating colonies in the back yard. This particular video was taken on the 24th, and I’ve since moved more colonies to our backyard/primary apiary. Tomorrow I’m going to bring the last three colonies home, and feed the ones that are low on stores. Then next week is the big move to Starke…..look out North Florida, here we come.
